Red, brown, white, yellow, black, only colors it may seem,
Many People though, take these colors to the extreme,
The makeup of the entire beautiful human race,
Some however, find another color hard to embrace,
Is one color more beautiful than the other?
Should anyone of the colors be separated from another?
Do you know a masterpiece that was painted one color?
Which color is the brightest, which is the duller?
In time we may all be in for a big surprise,
When we see these colors through God’s eyes,
Created one and all we are the work of his hands,
As was the earth with its many different lands,
No longer divided, traveling by air, sea, and land,
Intertwined together, was this planned?
Could one color possibly exist without the other?
Can another color be called a sister or brother?
Maybe not so far as the human eye can see,
Has the human race finally reached its destiny?
When the colors mankind will begin to harmonize,
As planned and foreseen, “Through God’s Eyes”

Cool.

Forgive me for borrowing someone else’s work (from DCTalk):

Pardon me, your epidermis is showing, sir
I couldn’t help but note your shade of melanin
I tip my hat to the colorful arrangement
Cause I see the beauty in the tones of our skin

We’ve gotta come together
And thank the Maker of us all

(chorus)
We’re colored people, and we live in a tainted place
We’re colored people, and they call us the human race
We’ve got a history so full of mistakes
And we are colored people who depend on a Holy Grace

A piece of canvas is only the beginning for
It takes on character with every loving stroke
This thing of beauty is the passion of an Artist’s heart
By God’s design, we are a skin kaleidoscope

We’ve gotta come together,
Aren’t we all human after all?

(repeat chorus)

Ignorance has wronged some races
And vengeance is the Lord’s
If we aspire to share this space
Repentance is the cure

Well, just a day in the shoes of a color blind man
Should make it easy for you to see
That these diverse tones do more than cover our bones
As a part of our anatomy

(repeat chorus)

We’re colored people, and they call us the human race
[Oh, colored people]
We’re colored people, and we all gotta share this space
[Yeah we’ve got to come together somehow]
We’re colored people, and we live in a tainted world
[Red and yellow, black and white]
We’re colored people, every man, woman, boy, and girl
[Colored people, colored people, colored people, colored people, yeah]

And when I was a little kid in Baptist Sunday School (don’t ask:rolleyes: ) we sang this song

“Jesus loves the little children,
All the children of the world,
Red and Yellow, Black and White,
All are precious in his sight,
Jesus loves the little children of the world”

The words and tune are burned into my memory, and I can still sing it after 60 years.

ME TOO!

I was singing this to my little grandson, only the first verse I use his name instead of ‘little children’. Then one day I senced the Lord saying, ‘yes you are my little children’. I thought, oh how cool you are Lord, even as adults in this time and place - we are ‘still’ your little children. Scriptures says we are alians in this land, Jesus loves his little children in this world, for we are in it, but not part of it. So now, kind of like the song “Mary had a little Lamb” Jesus loves the little children takes on a whole new meaning for me…
“Jesus loves the little children,
All the children of the world,
Red and Yellow, Black and White,
All are precious in his sight,
Jesus loves the little children of the world”
