Throw away the television?

I use my TV to watch DVD’s which I rent once in a while. I have not watched a regular program on broadcast or cable for about 8 years. I cancelled my cable. I live in an apartment where I cannot get a signal for broadcast TV. The only thing I am able to watch is a DVD which I rent.
