I
I’m sure you would agree that we cannot take credit for anything, our good fortune or talents, these are God-given graces. Without God we are nothing. That old expression “there but for the grace of God go I” is so true. God is our salvation and our hope. .
if you are sure i would agree, then why the post?? :D

yes i do agree w/ this… never said antyhing to the contrary… although apparently i’ve been accused of that…
.
But of course, faith without works, is empty.
yes, and then there is St Mt 25:31… and so many others…

speaking of Mt 25, the list of what the sheep will be doing, I think that is why it
is easier for a mother to feel closer to God. She is busy with sheep activities,
feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, caring for the sick, clothing the
naked. When you do the things on the list, you just naturally feel closer to God,
since you are accomplishing what He has given you to do. Only God gives her the
power to do these things, but I believe that even an athiest who was busy with
these things would find it easier to “hear” God. That’s my opinion, does it fall
under heresy of some kind?

Nope. I think that’s what Thy Kingdom Come means. That we help each other, on earth, and it will be like heaven. However, atheists think that they are doing good works all on their own, but we know that it is only by God’s grace that these things are accomplished. It’s so much more to know that you are a soul in God’s realm, rather than a sheep without a shepherd.
