I believed in marriage “til death do us part”. My spouse interpreted that to mean “until the death of the marriage”. She did not want to work on key issues, thought the marriage counselors teamed up with me against her, and insisted that we should have lovers and stay married. I could not do that. We were married a long time, suffered unspeakable tragedies together, have 2 surving adult children, but I could not go on with someone who did not share my fundamental beliefs. We grew apart philosophocially and morally. So just what does “til death do us part” mean? .
