Warning: OR.com contains graphic images of abortions
Wichita, KS — Operation Rescue is thanking God that Tiller has temporarily closed his late-term abortion clinic, Women’s Health Care Services. For the second week in a row, Wichita is abortion free.
However, anyone who would like to pray during Tiller’s motion to dismiss scheduled for Friday, August 10, are encouraged to gather at 9 AM outside the Courthouse located at Central and Main in Wichita.
Now that George R. Tiller has been arraigned on 19 criminal charges related to illegal abortions, we thought this was a good time to review some of the developments that have brought us to this point. Below is a time line of events with links to stories of interest that will bring you up to date on the Tiller case.
Good job OR in closing Tiller’s abortion clinic. This is the best news I’ve heard in a long time.

I don’t usually wish bad things on people, but I really hope that Tiller spends a long time in jail for his crimes. In my view he has commited some of the worst crimes against humanity and is no different than than any other mass murderer.

Here is his mug shot.

This is good news. Now what I would love to see happen is the people in charge prepare for when they reopen. If Tiller were to go to jail I can assure you someone else would start abortions. Now Witchita has no other abortuary other then doctors prescribing the pill?

Something to seriously consider in the future for that evil place is to get signs through www.abortionNO.org. I believe that one of the directors actually started the crisis pregnancy center right next door to them.

I hate to say it but I’m sure the women who were considering going there will look to the nearest other place as its rare to have to drive more then 100 miles to get an abortion in this country.

He’s not going to jail. These charges involve 19 misdemeanor counts of failing to get a proper documented second opinion to justify these 19 late term abortions. He did have a second doctor sign off on them; however, the AG said that the 2nd doctor in question is too closely related to Tiller’s practice to be independent.

Some previous charges were thrown out. These involved performing late term abortions for an insufficient reason. KS law prohibits late term abortions except to save the life of the mother or prevent irreparable damage to a “major bodily function.”

Courts have said that “major bodily function,” includes mental health. The former AG found cases where apparently the diagnosis was some form of mild depression. He didn’t think that met the requirements of the law.

The current AG, near as I can tell, says that irreparable damage to a major bodily function means whatever the abortionist wants it to mean, and it’s not up to him to second guess the diagnosis. But he does have to have an independent second physician sign off on it.

Tiller’s attorney insists that he will be cleared of all charges.
