I respect the guy a lot. I’m loving all the success he’s been having. Divine intervention much??? It would be fantastic to see him knock off the Patriots today.

Did anyone see the Saturday Night Live skit about Tebow last night (December 17, 2012)?

It was a hoot!

And my husband and I were both impressed with the reverence shown in the portrayal of Jesus.

We especially liked this comment, made by Jesus to the Denver Broncos: “I won’t be able to make your game tomorrow. I’m kind of busy because I’m having a pretty big birthday next week. So what kind of present do you give a Guy who sacrificed everything?!”

Yes, He did sacrifice everything for us, didn’t He?

As usual, of all the television shows, SNL is the one that always remembers that Jesus is the Reason for the Season.

As a Tebow fan and especially a God fan. I didn’t mind the sketch at all. SNL is always irreverent but it was funny and wasn’t hateful at all. The part about praying to prater was a tad over the top. While I know their point is for Tim to tone it down, and I don’t agree it was done pretty well. I like SNL the past couple seasons.

Can I just say that I think Tom Brady is pathetic? I totally lost any respect I had(which wasn’t really any) for him last night. He knows he could never measure up to Tim as a human being off the field, so he has to be disrespectful on the field.

??? guess I missed that?

He spiked the ball in the end zone to stick it to Tebow. As a New Englander I was embarrassed by the contrast in character between the two QBs. Brady may be more skilled now on the field, but he’ll never be half the person his opponent is in life.

Spiked the ball??? Oh no! Not in football!
I doubt that he meant it as an in your face to Tebow and I would highly doubt Tebow would take it that way. I love Tebow, and I am a Denver fan from birth. But there is NO one who knows the game of football that would agree with you.
Brady is a class act on the field. He may be a lapsed Catholic and his personal life may not be what it should, but he is nothing but a gentleman on the field. In fact he has been on the record as a Tebow fan. He has said that Tebow is a way better QB than people give him credit for and is one of the few people in the world that makes the argument that Tebow is a great passer. (even I cant be that much of a fan…) You should take pride in your fearless leader, now your coach on the other hand is the odds on favorite to be the antichrist…😉

I don’t ever recall Brady being that passionate in scoring a personal rushing touchdown like he was on that play. The commentators were surprised he didn’t throw out his shoulder on that spike since it was obvious he was being passionate and in someone’s face for that spike.

My 2 cents

As he should be. It is a TD against a hot team with playoff implications. If he WEREN’T passionate I would have less respect for him. Try Tim’s two point conversion run in a few weeks ago where his hands are out in “six shooter” fashion. Haters gonna hate. But you are making a slight where none exists. there are plenty of anti christian tebow haters out there to point to. Brady isn’t one of them. You almost sound as if he should have scored the TD and apologized. With Tebow you have to have a BIG lead in the forth or you will be “tebowed”
Again, I love tebow, I want him to win over any other QB but I can guarantee you Brady is a tebow fan too.

It just seemed like he was saying "Take that Saint Timmy and your worshippers. ".

I have no idea where you would get that? I saw it. I would urge you to maybe try to find some audio where Brady talks of Tim Tebow. He has nothing but praise for him and I can tell you that while they do battle on the field, there is much mutual respect between the two. Perhaps you are a casual football fan but I can assure you there was no malice meant. Now vick on the other hand…
You wont find Youtube videos with the title "brady sticks it to Tebow. No one is seeing what you are seeing.

I played the game and I have watched many a tebow game. I can guarantee there are some “in your face I hate timmy” guys out there. Brady just aint one of em.
PS
Pray for Brady. His father once asked a friend of mine to pray for him. Pray for him to revert. For that matter Pray for Timmy to CONvert… he he he.😉

I feel better after reading this. There are a lot of transplanted New Yorkers where I live who hate the Pats who were basically implying that Brady was essentially mocking everything Tebow believes in. I didn’t realize spikes were so common. I’m a Hockey fan, and I’m sort of surprised how polite football seems in comparison. I thought such an act implied disrespect. I’m such a Tebow fan that I never really thought to pray for any other players, but I will definitely say an extra one for Brady.

Hockey, man the only sport where a team called the devils had a guy named satan play for them…
If this were hockey, Brady could stick it to timmy by punching his teeth out!😉

I saw this on a Tim Tebow site.
“when Tim Tebow spikes the ball, he strikes oil…”

And ironically it wasn’t the Toronto Maple Leafs.🤷

I don’t think I could take it if Tim was a Hockey player. The sight of all the drunk Canuck’s fans screaming expletives at him would be unbearable.

Now Tim is being maligned for not participating in an “It Gets Better” video. What’s next? Are they going to say he hates kittens because he hasn’t posed nude for PETA?

Tim Tebow may be an outspoken evangelical and a good role model for them, but I cannot admire a man whose family has made it their life’s mission to convert Catholics to their own brand of Protestantism.

They mostly work in the Philippines, a country that is 80% Catholic. According to Tim Tebow’s father, though, “In a country of 92,000,000, it is estimated that over 65,000,000 Filipinos have never once heard the gospel of Jesus Christ.” That makes it pretty clear what they think of the Catholic faith.

Please read his father’s web site: btea.org
On their “history” page you can see Timmy Tebow doing his family’s work.

I can’t believe that flukey overtime pass was JUST enough to give him precisely 316 (3:16) yards passing in his first playoff win. LOL!

Best commentary of the game:

“You can’t beat Tebow with a Hail Mary!” --Rich Eisen, referring to the Steeler’s last play in regulation.

Myself, I was hoping for an Immaculate Reception.

Now that they beat my Steelers in the playoffs, I’m going to have to root for the Broncos to take it all the way.

Yeah, I sort of wonder what his evangelical fans would think if he were this outspoken but incorporated signs of the cross and some actual Hail Mary’s into his routine. He might suddenly become unmentionable. 🤷

I don’t watch football, but I’ll give him props for at least being courageous.
