I don’t know much about the subject so please bare with me. In the time of Jesus was the area (present day Middle-East) mainly Jewish or Islamic. I ask because the area apparently is the root of Judaism and Christianity yet Islam prevailed in the area. I am just wondering how and why it did. Was it the majority back then as well?

Again I apologize for the poorly worded question, I just don’t really know how to ask it.

Despite what Muslims would have you believe Islam did not exist at that time. It came about around 700 years after Jesus.
The immediate are the Jesus lived in was Jewish. However the middle east had numerous religions at that time, some semitic monotheists and polytheists. Also Hellenic religions were present.

In short-Jews+others-there were no Muslims at the time of Jesus
