I have issues with procrastination too, so I know how you feel. Iā€™m still by no means perfect, but this article helped me out a lot.


Itā€™s actually a pretty entertaining read, and breaks down what goes on in your mind while procrastinating in a way thatā€™s memorable and easy to digest. I would also recommend offering up your duties for the souls in Purgatory.
 
I tend to procrastinate much much more when I feel I donā€™t have any goals or direction .It can take some serious thinking and redirection.Freewheeling can make life go by all too quickly.
 
Iā€™ve been procrastinating going to the supermarket all day. šŸ™‚ It is increasing as an impending requirement at present, so Iā€™m going now. šŸ˜›

As an idea, there might be some quotations in proverbs or sirach and other places in scripture that could motivate one to give up the bad habit of procrastination.
 
Early morning routine is the key. Get your ā€œmust dosā€ out of the road, so you can relax more later in the day.
But Iā€™m as guilty as you in some areas, eg. prayer
 
Procrastination can be a symptom of other problems. Or perhaps a manifestation of other problems, like anxiety or ADD. If it really becomes a serious obstacle in your life, you might want to talk to someone about it, even your family doctor.
 
Yes, I have ADD and am a horrible procrastinator.

I have been known to put off eating for a week because it was such a bother. (jk)
