Pax Christi everyone,

I dont know about some of you, but I am tired of the laxness of the Bishops and Priests these days. From Bishops and Priests allowing the ‘Rainbow Sash’ wearing people to recieve the Eucharist, Parish’s in and around Boston participating in the ‘Gay Pride’ parade and Priests in Chicago holding Mass in a Lutheran Church, I am getting tired of it.

Why do these people feel they can do anything without repercution? Why arent the Bishops standing up to people like the ‘Rainbow Sash’ movement and the John Kerry’s of the USA??? Why all the silence?

Well I am wanting to do something about it. I have formed a group of Church Militants - consisting of laymen, from all across the country that might just help weed out the abuses in our Church. What the Church Militants do is monitor what goes on in their diocese (or other dioceses) and if any major abuse is going on like what I mentioned above (those were real cases) then a Mass Email would be sent to all signed up Church Militants in that area of the abuse and they would call, write and email the bishops and cardinals to make them aware of the problem. If nothing happens we contact them again. Still nothing? Then we contact the papal nuncio and have it investigated and also contact De Fide about the problem.

If you live in a great orthodox diocese, well God Bless you, but if you do not then help us monitor and have our voices heard.

Head to www.catholic-teachings.com to find out more. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Keep your rosaries close, were about to chain the beast!

Yes. My latest state of shock here is in Massachusetts is that VOTF is journalized right on the Archdiocese web site.

I welcome someone who seeks to help.

I know nothing about your or your group, biut Roman Catholic Faithful has been doing this kind of work for a long time. They appear to be national and perhaps you ought to check out their website.

I would contact Bill Donohue at the Catholic League and Roman Catholic Faithful to get their advice. Both have web sites.

Yes, CathanFanatical,
Bill Monahan of Catholic League catholicleague.org/ and Steve Brady of Roman Catholic Faithful rcf.org/
are certainly with you.
They became tired of the abuses and mediocrity quite a long time ago, and decided to do something about it.
I find that Catholic League usually goes after those outside the Church who bash our Faith, (such as the media) while The Roman Catholic Faithful thoroughly investigates and reports on all sorts of abuses within the Church ~ and he names names.

Rather than re-inventing the wheel, take a look at their websites and see if this is what you might have had in mind…Great minds often run along the same lines!

Well consider this an introduction then Hagia, you know of my group now.

But as you say ‘Roman Catholic Faithful has been doing this kind of work for a long time’ then why in God’s name is there still lax Bishops and Priests if their doing such a good job?? Why are there Parish’s that are involving themselves in the ‘Gay Pride’ parades and holding ‘Gay Mass’? Where are the ‘Roman Catholic Faithful’ you speak of standing up to this? Why are there Priests giving the True Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity to these ‘Rainbow Sash’ wearing people who only commit blasphemy and Bishops let it happen? Could it be that there needs to be more people involved? So what if there are two groups fighting for the same cause, thats great!

I will look up the RCF and get more information from them, however there is nothing wrong with having several groups take care of the same issue. The more that are combating it the more that can get done.

Hello, I share your very same concerns. Have you seen the priesthood celibacy poll where a possible partial solution to these problems has been proposed? I suggest you read many of the posts for the reasoning of the poll.

Greg, Thanks for posting. I have not seen any polls on this yet…im kind of afraid as to what I might find…hehe.

I will read as you suggested. In the meantime I have contacted RCF in the hopes in joining their efforts. There is only so much one organization can do, even one that has been doing it for years. So it is up to myself and whoever feels the call to join in on the action and help out.

I cant rightly complain about the Church’s issues if I’m not going to help in fighting them.

God Bless

Have faith, brother! Read Hillaire Belloc, How the Reformation Happened, and you will see that the Church has never been free from either external nor internal attack. From the earliest days, heresies have sprung up and been beaten back; at one point, Arianism claimed nearly half the faithful (priests and bishops included) and lasted for nearly four hundred years.

I applaud your effort, and would be happy to join in. My parish is a strong one, but I would be happy to contact my bishop regarding any other liturgical or theological abuses throughout the diocese.

One final thought. When Napoleon threatened a Cardinal with the destruction of the Catholic Church, the Cardinal laughed and said, If eighteen hundred years of concentrated effort by bishops and priests hadn’t destroyed the Church, what did Napoleon believe he could accomplish?

As you read RCF material and see what they have had to go through with regard to “revoke and replace” - you’ll see what difficulties they have encountered - ain’t a pretty story.

There is already a very large group out there that is the “strong right arm of the Church.” - The Knights of Columbus.

Perhaps the Knights should come to mass in full regalia when the “Rainbow Sash” brigade makes an appearance? Most Dioceses have at least one Assembly of Fourth Degree Knights, don’t they? I don’t see how such a show of support for the Magesterium of the Church conflicts with the Knights’ mission in support of the Church’s Priests and Bishops. (The mission assumes that Priests and Bishops are in full communion with the Magesterium.)

I’m only a third degree knight, but are there any other Knights out there that agree or disagree? Should we organize counter-demonstrations of any kind?

Hagia, I do understand how difficult it is for this, or at least I can imagine how tough the fight is. Which is why I would love to join hands with RCF and help them out. I am still looking over the site there as well and contacting who I need to. I’ll probably hear from them during the week next week.

That quote from the Bishop was hilarious! Thats a very good point He made and I thank you for posting that pray4priests. Im keeping my chin up and keeping the faith, it just seems like its a never ending trial of us with no help in sight…at least from some of the clergy.

Robert in SD, I think that is an awesome idea on bringing the Knights to a parish where there are Eucharistic abuses, such as the ‘Rainbow Sash’ wearing people there.

What a scene that would be…hehe! Two Knights guarding the Eucharistic Ministers and the Priests, keeping an eye on everyone.

The Knights should be at a Mass where a Congressmen might go if he is pro-death and still receiving Christ.

Its definitly time flex your muscles to set things straight again.
Brings me to a saying a good friend of mine said on another forum im apart of:

“Dis me and I’ll get over it, Dis the Eucharist and I draw my sword!”
Code:
Thank God for the Knights - Church Militants indeed.
God Bless everyone!
