I have been feeling very tired. Think I may be battling a virus too.

I still want to go to a mass this evening if possible since I skipped the last two days already.
I looked up where there would be a mass and saw that today is a kind of Holy Day. And can’t think of the English name right now. I am not really sure if it is a Holy Day of Obligation anywhere, I don’t think it is here.

Since I was feeling tired I was “afraid” the mass would be a longer one than the usual weekday masses. Because if it is an hour and not only a half hour I would get home even later.

Now I feel guilty for having that thought. How can I be “afraid” that a mass might be longer? Is my tiredness a good enough excuse for a thought like that?:o

If it were me, I would try to go on a holy day of Obligation tired or not. If it weren’t a day of obligation, I would stay home and rest. God understands… if you’re sick, you’re sick.

I hope you’re feeling better soon. Eat well, drink fluids, and sleep. Here’s a :hug1:

Thanks, yellowbird! Especially also for the hug.

Oh yes if it is a Holy Day I would have to be very sick or feel highly contagious in order not to go. And I am planning on going tonight anyway even though it is not a day of obligation. I just felt guilty for having the thought “I hope it’s not a Holy Day of Obligation because then the mass will be longer”. I do feel God forgives me the thought because He knows I am human…

yep - God understands. Especially when we aren’t feeling well. We’re his children, after all. 🙂
