Oh man heartburn is the worst. I have only had heartburn about 10 times in my life but when I do get it I get it bad and NO antacid will relieve it. About a month ago I had heartburn for a full 24 hours and I almost wanted to go to the ER to have them put me in a coma so I could sleep away the pain
So I started reading on the internet and someone suggested Gaviscon, which is not an antacid but its a medicine that actually creates a barrier in your stomach so that the acid cannot go out of the stomach anymore. I begged DH to go to walgreens at 2:00 am to get me some and it finally worked! I was able to sleep and the heartburn never came back. Not even baking soda works for me I get it so bad, but this stuff did. I highly recommend it!
