Titles of Jesus in Acts

Acts 7
55But Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at God’s right hand. **56’Look! I can see heaven thrown open,’ he said, ‘and the Son of man standing at the right hand of God.’ **57All the members of the council shouted out and stopped their ears with their hands; then they made a concerted rush at him, 58thrust him out of the city and stoned him. The witnesses put down their clothes at the feet of a young man called Saul. 59As they were stoning him, Stephen said in invocation, ‘Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.’ 60Then he knelt down and said aloud, ‘Lord, do not hold this sin against them.’ And with these words he fell asleep.

Does anyone know why Stephen was inspired to refer to Jesus as “Son of Man” instead of “Son of God” especially as he had already resurrected from the dead? Also, in Acts 3 below, Peter heals the man in the name of “Jesus Christ the Nazarene”. Why do you think that Peter didn’t say something similar to “…in the name of Jesus Christ, the only Son of God”? The titles used sound more like human names than divine names.

5He turned to them expectantly, hoping to get something from them, 6but Peter said, **‘I have neither silver nor gold, but I will give you what I have: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, walk!’ **7Then he took him by the right hand and helped him to stand up. Instantly his feet and ankles became firm, 8he jumped up, stood, and began to walk, and he went with them into the Temple, walking and jumping and praising God.

I believe one of the reasons is that it reinforces the notion of Christ fulfilling the OT prophecies. See Dan 7:13.

This is actually a fulfilled prophecy from the Prophet Daniel:
13 "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. 14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

The Jews who heard Stephen talking knew exactly how blasphemous it was. Also note this a description of Heaven put in human terms, it cannot actually be described.

The fact he fulfilled a miracle in the name of Jesus is sufficient to demonstrate His divinity (16 By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see.).
