Here are some (non SSPX) locations for the Tridentine Mass in Paris. France has a ton of places where one can attend the Tridentine Mass without going over to the SSPX. The info is in French but at least you should be able to make out the name of the church and possibly some other details like the Sunday (dimanche) schedules. Paris is well served! The 4th listed below is one of the apostolates of the newly founded Institue of the Good Shepherd!

Hope this helps…

John

I would be surprised if there’s a legit TLM in Paris. France is infested with SSPX and the French Bishops conference is the main reason the pope hasn’t yet granted the “Universal Indult”.
I wouldn’t use the word “infested” when referring to the SSPX in France, rather, I’d use the word “blessed”. France is blessed with the SSPX.

here’s a video of a TLM in Paris. The processional is beautiful.

Infested is when the Muslims buy you out. 😦

Thanks for this most beautiful of videos of the holy mass! It’ brought back memories of my many times I visited Paris and wandered into this oasis of a church.

From the first time I visited St Nicolas I was saddened by the tragedy that the church was not at peace (in communion) with the bishop of Rome. So sad.

While I don’t condone the actions of the SSPX at St.Nicolas du Chardonnet, they probably saved that church from being destroyed by the modernists.

Id hedge a bet that it has the highest Mass attendance per church in the whole of Paris… 6 Missa Cantatas a day, the whole church full… thats a lot.

I’ve heard that the FSSP has an overflow of Priests maybe they could start sending them to France? It sounds like they would be the perfect group to go into France. If the French church goers tend to be conservative and/or traditional then seems a good fit.

It would be a shame to see a nation with such a rich history with the Church to end up lost to either secularism or schizm.

The ICRSS has a substantial presence in France. Although I think the FSSP has a greater one still, but there have been recent difficulties with the FSSP in France, with some of their priests leaving the Fraternity for the Diocese because they wish to say the Novus Ordo. I am not too sure on the details of that though.

At the bottom of this publication by the Institute, there is a diagram of their French Apostolates as they were in 2004. I am not sure if there are more today.

I do not know details, but I think the SSPX took control of St.Nicolas du Chardonnet in the 1970’s, kicking out the Priest who says the Novus Ordo, started saying their Masses there.

I think they are technically illegally occupying the building, but the Parisian authorities wont act on it, because its a Church Matter.
