Does your TLM engage in evangelization activities? How does it relate to the broader community?

The one I attend doesn’t. In fact…till last year I never knew it existed. It is a refurbished chapel of a hospital that was demolished maybe 30 years ago and it was left vacant. I had seen as I drove by that work was being done on it, but I didn’t ever remember seeing anything about it in the news.

Then I got on the diocese website and it was mentioned. When i spoke once to one of the priests he said “We’re the best kept secret in town.” It is a secret i wish they would let “out of the bag.”😉

As traditional Catholics seem to be the most concerned about the watering down, whether percieved or in reality, of “outside the Church there is no salvation” it seems TLM should be more active in missionary work. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. Why?

I imagine that at this early stage in the revival of the TLM, they are mostly concentrating on “evangelizing” within the Catholic Church.

I believe that as the TLM spreads, and becomes a standard part of parish life, the effects on evangelization of people TO the Church will be seen.
