I have been watching the events with the Pope in the UK prior to Cardinal’s beatification tomorrow and I was wondering what it the POV of the Anglican’s church over his conversion to Catholicism?

Is it ever talked about? Explained? Or is there more of an apathy over it all?

This was a deeply spiritual and highly intelligent man. And I wonder how the Anglican church views (viewed?) him over his conversion

In a variety of of ways, especially amongst his good friends and amongst the Oxford movement. Sadness and loss was a predominant reaction.

Me, I think he was a great man, who was where he should be, in the end.
