I’m curious to hear the experiences of couples who use NFP, especially those who have prayerfully applied it to the avoidance of pregnancy.
From what I’ve read it is every bit as effective at artificial means if learned and applied properly, but this is coming from organizations or authors that (usually) ultimately profit from teaching their particular method and may be biased (although I don’t think they are). I have also read of the benefits of improved bonding within the marriage.
So if you don’t mind I’d like some (name removed by moderator)ut-

- What method of NFP do you use?
- How long have you been using it?
- How effective has it been for you when used to avoid pregnancy?
- What problems/issues have you had with it?
- Have you switched to NFP from previously using artificial contraception? Was the decision mutual or did the switch cause tension in your relationship?
- Is your spouse on the same page as you regarding NFP, so to speak? If they initially were not, how did they come around? If they initially were and now are not, why?
- How has using NFP positively or negatively impacted your marriage?
