Please pray for me for God to give me the grace to forgive my coworker from my heart. The way my coworker talks to me makes me feel inferior. Please ask Jesus to change the way he talks to me and the strength for me to talk to him about the way he talks to me. Thank you
 
Forgiveness is the first chapter of Fr. John Riccardo’s new book “Heaven starts now” and he draws out the absolute necessity of forgiveness to enter the kingdom of God.

If that temptation to not forgive and moreover to retaliate, perhaps you might incorporate the “litany of humility” into your daily prayers:

At that website, EWTN attributes this to a cardinal Merry del Val, but I’ve heard that del Val was given this litany by an otherwise unknown monk.

Either way, meditate on that prayer. And, if it’s worth pointing out to your colleague, Jesus warned us that we would have to answer for every word we’ve ever spoken.

The distance between us is too great to say with certainty, but such a person might have a sado-masochistic personality type, characterized by a compulsion to demean others, especially to their face. I am acquainted with two people afflicted with this, and I just stare back at them when I’m being dressed down. You don’t have to say anything, just look them in the eye. Don’t give them the satisfaction of seeing you back down.

The point of my saying this is, that these people may have a psychological problem and they are really not responsible for what they are saying. So, you have to consider that possibility and be especially forgiving “for they know not what they do.”

Please ask God to grant blessings on all those here who have asked for prayer, if these intentions are according to His will for them.
