my struggling with porn and masturbation has started up again

While I am happy to make it 4 days on average rather than 1-2

I wanna get back on track to week long strides

the consequences of sin can make me paranoid

I haven’t been to confession because I’m scared of mentioning my want(need)to go and have a huge mountain of sin

I’m getting better and don’t wanna lose what I’ve become

My goal is to go to confession and be forgiven and then receive it again on Mercy Sunday to hopefully free me of my fear of punishment to a degree

I’m my own worst enemy
I live only for people and making them happy
I’ve life figured out but my sin is in my way

Education,money, and jobs only matter if you are focusing on helping people and making the world happy

I know this was sort of a rant
But the people here are good hearted and have helped me

I’ve suffered from sexual addictions and I know how difficult it can be to break the habit.

Don’t be afraid of Confession. God knows what you’re going through and a priest has heard it all. The grace from the Sacrament will give you strength.

I found this program to be thorough and very helpful in breaking a porn habit. Please give it some consideration. We all need help in the battle to defeat porn addictions.

You can also pray 3 Hail Mary’s before sleeping and when you wake up for Purity and Holiness.

Do not delay in going for confession. Remember, God knows even the thoughts, nothing is hidden from Him. You just need to bring your sins to light in confession and read some books on how to fight against purity.

My fear isn’t with the priests or God

It is the awkward situation that will arise with my parents
They are probably gonna tease and ask why

We haven’t been if over a year because they only go when they have to for religious Ed it seems

I’ve got a wonder group of Catholic friends and maybe they’ll have a group confession outing one day that would save me a lot of trouble

But I have a feeling God wants me to find the courage to ask to prepare for something in the future
Because when I used to pray on this a lot He would have confession pop up in conversations and help me gain courage

I just hope he makes as it easy as it can be because I just hate asking them to let me go

Let no one be a hinderance for your confession. You can go for confession any day. Just before mass or even after the mass, alone too, no priest will deny. Do not wait for any occasion. Be glad that your conscience is always reminding you to confess your sins. remember, absolution starts from the moment you repent, realize and decide that you must confess.

Take heed of pride, which maketh men so tender of their reputation, that they will venture their souls to save their honour: men call it bashfulness, and say they cannot confess for shame; but it is pride that maketh them so much ashamed to be known by men to be offenders, while they less fear the eye and judgment of the Almighty. Impudence is a mark of a profligate sinner; but he that pretendeth shame against his duty, is foolishly proud; and should be more ashamed to neglect his duty, and continue impenitent in his sin. A humble person can perform a self-abasing, humbling duty.

Courage, friend. Over and over, Jesus tells us to be not afraid. Lean on him and he will rescue you. He understands us. He loves us just as we are. Confess and you are set free. Believe that he will deliver you.
