ineedofmercy

Guest
I have an awkward situation of my parents getting me to confession because I know they’re going to be nosy asking why i want to go and be difficult

I recently broke the barrier and tried to ask to go with a good reason that my favorite confessor is leaving and he wanted me to go and I need to because I’m in state of mortal sin

My parents neglect confession probably due to lack of time and maybe even don’t càre to much about it

Pray that I can be brave enough to keep asking and finally get there

And that I can finally stop receiving the host unworthily in fear of causing a scene at Mass when parents get mad or getting in trouble/awkward situation

I know I may sound like a wimp but I really hate embarrassment and my parents bugging me about stuff they don’t understand

I love my parents it’s just this is an odd area

Please pray for me

I’m sorry this is worrying you so much. Perhaps you could write your feelings in a note to your parents, if you find it so hard to explain it?

God bless you for your good intentions.

:highprayer: Heavenly Father, prepare the way for ineedofmercy to get to the Sacrament of Confession soon; and soften his parent’s hearts so that they too can receive this wonderful Sacrament; put Your perfect peace and Your Divine Mercy on this situation and protect and bless ineedofmercy!!! :amen:

Don,t worry about what they are saying, but go too Confession, for Jesus is waiting for you, don,t be afraid,Jesus Loves you, and you,ll feel better when you go ,I always do . May the Holy Spirit guide you, too go. AMEN :harp:

If my son wanted to get to church to go to confession, I’d be in the car before he finished his sentence.

Nevertheless, I’m not your mom. You can simply say that you’re growing in faith and discernment, and find it necessary to follow the saints, the pope and the Church’s direction and go to frequent confession. And then smile and say “Love you”.

Once my kids add that phrase “love you” to anything, I have trouble saying no. 🙂

Praying for you, your parents, and your confessor (for a good confession)

May God continue to bless your efforts!

St. Catherine, St. Therese, St. Augustine, pray for us. My friend, you need to get to confession asap. Bum a ride with a friend, or ask the priest for an emergency confession before or after the mass you go to (yes, they let you do this. 😉 ). Be not afraid. I’ll keep you in my prayers.

Pratical Solution

Step 1: This Sunday approach the priest who is there before Mass as early as possible.

**Step 2: ** Say: Father I am in the state of mortal sin. I need to Confess before I receive the eucharist.

Step 3: Make sure you practice your Confession before you go to Mass. Then in Confession simply list the sins and number you willing and intentionally committed, knowing they were seriously sinful. Bottom line everything. Do not give any background or explanation unless the priest asks.

For example:
I knowingly received the Eucharist unworthily between x and y number of times.
I committed sin W between x and y number of times.
I committed sin Q between x and y number of times.

These are all may sins. I am deeply sorry for committing them and I firmly intend never to commit them again.

Do what the priest says.

Step 4: Stop receiving the holy Eucharist unworthily.

Step 5: When your parents question you as to why you didn’t receive Communion, have courage and tell them “I could not.” Then be silent and say no more. Nothing. Not one word. This is what Jesus did at his trial. Ask him to give you courage and long suffering. It will be hard and you will suffer.

I continue to bear sufferings like yours from my corrupt way of life and past mortal sins. The Holy Spirit is purifying me. It is hard but I still remain silent.
Code:
**"Better the poverty of the just than the wealth of the wicked." **
Psalm 37, 38 or 36 around verse 16. It depends on your translation.

Step 6: If they punish you to get you to reveal why, virtuously bear these wrongs against you. Doing this means you are exercising the spiritual work of mercy: Bear wrongs patiently. These punishments now are better than the eternal punishment. Remain silent when they question you. They will figure out why. I prayed for you and will continue to pray.

Step 7: Tell Jesus that you love him and are truly sorry. Endeavor to love him more than you fear hell. This is a virtuous act on your part.

Have courage my brother or sister. I too experienced this situation when I was young. Pray to St. Barnabas, St. Paul’s companion. Barnabas means, “One who is encouraging”.

I will continue to pray for you.

Suffering with you,
atassina

Please, please post any progress. I truly want to know.

I pray to St. Gregory for you:

St. Gregory of Neocaesarea.
Also known as Gregory Thaumaturgus,
or Gregory the Wonder-worker, this saint was born in Asia
Minor around the year 213. Although raised as a pagan,
he was deeply influenced by a good teacher at age 14, and
thus converted to Christianity with his brother. At the age
of 40 he became a bishop in Caesarea, and served the
Church in this role until his death 30 years later. According
to ancient records, there were only 17 Christians in Caesarea
when he first became a bishop. Many people were converted
by his words and by his miracles which showed that the power
of God was with him. When he died, there were only 17 pagans
left in all of Caesarea!!

According to Saint Basil, Saint Gregory Thaumaturgus (the Wonder-worker)
is comparable to Moses, the prophets and the apostles. St. Gregory of Nyssa
says Gregory Thaumaturgus experienced a vision of Our Lady, the first such
recorded vision.

St. Gregory, Pray for us!!

I’ve never done that before and they may even take it as joke because I’m a comedian
They will just ask me about it later
I have so much shame over this I don’t need embarrassment too

I’ve made plans and excuse reasons for me to go
I think I may just have to do it soon

Please pray will be successful

I continue to pray for you. Let us know when you make some progress. Have courage. Pray for courage.

Some of this I might be able to do
I just don’t want to ruin my relationship with my family
It shouldn’t be this difficult but it is
I think I should tell a priest I’m in a state of mortal sin and to set up a secret fast confession when we have the time and not to tell my parents but that to is risky

I think I might just have to be bold and have good excuse reason as to why I want to go

I wish we just went every month like good Catholic families do there’s no question just sticking to the schedule

I will pray. Let us know when you have progress. Leaving town now. Will pray for you.

This would probably seem out of nowhere and they will get to involved and the entire family will want to know what’s up

I hate that kinda of interrogative pressure I get from my family
They always want to know everything it bothers me so much

I might just do it soon and just deal with the way my life ends up and try to snap emotionally

I wish we went once a month

Future events could change this so I’m really happy God is setting them up
I will try to take any pain and punishment for sin (which I have a lot to hear probably)

Just remember that this is the year of mercy. Jesus has oceans of mercy for you. Ask St. Faustina to help you. She will pray for you and with you to Jesus for his mercy. Be docile to his love and mercy.
