To my fellow new Catholics

This is a question for all those brought into the church at Easter of this year. Now that it’s been a few months since RCIA ended and you’ve officially becme Catholic, how’s your faith? Do you feel as passionate and on-fire for the church as you did leading up to your confirmation? How’s your spiritual life? What are you doing to keep yourself growing in knowledge now that the weekly RCIA lessons are over? I just remember reading a quote somewhere that a lot of new Catholics leave the church fairly quickly after converting due to a lessening of their spirituality and was wondering what, if anything, you are all doing to keep your faith alive and growing?

I have a daily catechism class on the internet, 4marks.com

I am in formation with two small groups of penitents living the Franciscan Rule of 1221 in the privavcy of our homes.

I read a lot

I do a daily Rosary as part of my being a Legion of Mary Auxilliary.

I have two cats to remind me that I am not the center of the Universe.

Plus my AA meetings encourage me to stay on the spiritual path

To be blatantly honest, I’m not as on fire as I was, but I contribute a lot of it too being away from the internet (thus catholic.com) for a few weeks as well as starting a new job and school. Since getting back and finding an old year long devotions book in my room that I’ve started reading, I can feel the saints and God encouraging me to get back into it. Every now and then (and more and more frequently) I get hit by the beauty of something purely Catholic once again that propels me on further, and I’m starting to pick up my good habits again.
