Planten you wrote in another thread:

Quran tells us that God arranged her marriage i.e. God selected her husband. It is a long story. Husband is not named in the Quran but we know it from the bible that it was Joseph.

My question is : why was Jesus born without a biological father?

We Muslims don’t believe that GodAllahYHWH has/needs any father or mother or wife or husband or son or daughter or niece or nephew etc.

If the ChristianGod, as our Catholic friend believe, needed a biological mother to be born; why did he need that?

Couldn’t the ChristianGod be born without a biological mother but having a biological father, or without a biological father and mother both?

Not what muslims THINK God should need/want etc.
 
Hi

I think Jesus was normally born from a mother, it was a normal delivery, no miracle in it.

It is only the conception of Mary which because of Quran we believe was without fertilisation from a father. There are other women , I mentioned in one of my posts, who bore children in virgintiy; so that is an ususal conception but nevetheless mentioned in history, so it should be considere natural also. This has to be explained by physicians, I think.

We believe that Jesus is both fully human and fully divine. In order to become fully human, he needed to receive his humanity from a parent. He needed to be born of a woman in the same way that all men are.

It must be said that God did not need Mary to become man. He could simply become. However, this would make him different from the rest of humanity. He needed to be exactly like us. In order to be truly human, he needed to born. This is why Mary was chosen.

But again, this is a false prophecy proclaimed by a false prophet.

The true Scriptures say:

John 3
16 For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting.

Paar, have you got an answer as to why was Jesus born with no biological father?
 
Planten, the answer to your question about whose miracle it is, it is God’s.

When prophets make miracles, they make it by the power of God. Hence God makes a miracle through a prophet to prove a point. The miracle is seen and proved by people and God’s point is revealed.

In the case of Jesus, it was God alone who made it, without a prophet showing it to people. Actually, it was done before Jesus was born and no one could or can or will be able to see the miracle or prove it.

In other words, it is a miracle not done through a prophet, it is a miracle not seen, and it is a miracle not proved.

What is the purpose of a miracle that can neither be seen, nor proved? how does it affect humans if it can be neither be seen nor proved? to put it simply, is it a miracle for people?

Good point IJ. In our case the point of the miracle, the Incarnation, is the revelation of the Holy Trinity. But there is apparently no need for such a miracle in Islam if, as they claim, Jesus is simply a man like any other. After all, men like any others, all have biological fathers.

Okay, dolphinlove’s request may have been a bit unreasonable to a certain extent, but you could have been more convincing if you responded without using the words “I think” right after that post. Also, could you please list some of those virgin births (that aren’t myths)?

Now seriously, whenever theological arguments are presented, i feel a lack of contributions by Muslims…if, for any reason, they have no answr, isn’t it time to think deeply about things? my thread is pretty easy and my questions are easy, but i guess the answer is tough for some.

I find this the same case. I went to an Islamic site just recently, and asked a few questions, but they tip toed around the questions. There were other Christians there as well that were also trying to get answers, but to no avail, and then i had one accusing me of attacking Islam, when i just asked a simple question… hmmm.
Ive even had one accuse me of being contradicting myself, any excuse to get off the topic at hand!
And, ill say i was most polite, as you know, i can get a bit heated in my responses at times…
