A Protestant co worker with whom I talk religous subject has inform me that he does not sin. He stated that since he has accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior and HIs grace has made him holy he is now “protected” (can’t sin) from sin. I may have not stated his position exactly but that is what I heard. Now I sin. What I am hearing from him is since I sin, I am lacking in my commitment to God (Which brings up bad memories of grade school and the nuns insinuating if you REALLY love God you would be a priest. I know better now.). I know there is this idea out there that holiness equals being incapable of sin but is that what is meant by the Bible verses he quotes to explain his position. I hope this makes sense.
