For what ever reason, I don’t always attend my church. I may have to go on a Saturday and the time offered by my church is not convenient so I go to anther. This happens more than I’d like, but does none the less. I normally keep my churches teith in the weekly envelope and by the time I go back I will have two, three maybe four envelopes. The question is, when I attend these other churches, what should I give and/or should I continue to teith to my church for those weeks not attended?

Thanks and God Bless

This has happened to us on occasion, and this is what we did. When we went to another Church, we gave them a portion of our tithe. If we tithed $50.00, for example, we would give the other Church $15.00 or $20.00, while the balance went to our home Church. Worked for us! 😃

Peace,
Linda

The parish at which you are registered as a member ought to get your “tithe” or major contribution. You may certainly donate to any other parishes you visit during the year, deciding what you can give to them, as well.

If you are missing Sunday Masses (or the Sunday Vigil Mass–Saturday evenings), you need to go to confession to confess this to your priest because missing Sunday Mass (or the Vigil Mass) for any but serious reasons is a mortal sin.
