To which saint should I be praying for this?

I lost my college class ring today :crying:

I looked all around my office, the building, where I ate lunch…everything.

I’ve never lost something this important before now.

To which saint should I be praying? St. Anthony of Pedua?

Please pray that I find my ring. My parents gave that to me as a Christmas gift my senior year, and it is definitely the most expensive thing I own! :crossrc: :crying:

I just can’t believe this! I am so responsible…and to lose this ring…
 
Yep - Saint Anthony. I am waiting for him to help me with a huge check I lost. I’ll sneak your loss in, too, while I am praying for mine.

I lost my high school ring to a robber who broke into our home many years ago. But that wasn’t my first class ring “tragedy.” Years before the robbery, I lost my mom’s high school ring, which she had given to me, in a lake! My friend’s mom kept insisting that I take it off and give it to her for safekeeping, so it wouldn’t slip off of my finger while I was in the water. Mom’s ring fit me snugly so I should have said “no thanks” to my friend’s mother, but instead I pulled it off my finger and it flew from my slippery hand and sunk to the bottom of the lake. I was actually very traumatized by losing my mom’s ring - much more traumatized than my mom was! Years later, when my own ring was stolen from me, I wondered for a long time if it was some sort of cosmic “payback” for not taking good care of my mom’s ring! (I’m past that now! 😉 )

It’s incredible how many “lost” things have been recovered for me through the intercession of St. Anthony. I’m going to keep you in my prayers that your cherished ring will turn up again. I try to keep in mind that “stuff” is just “stuff,” but it still hurts to lose something that has sentimental value and I really do feel for you! 😦

Any saint you love and feel close to will help you out! St. Anthony’s the usual patron saint of lost items, but you don’ t have to look only to him.
You never know. I lost my papally blessed Divine Mercy medal for weeks and prayed hard but couldn’t find it - a few weeks later, found it on the floor. So don’t lose hope!

You’ll never guess. I was getting ready to walk home from work, and I walked out the front doors, and there it was on the ground!

I hadn’t even been outside! I think someone must have picked it up and then dropped it!

So, now I have my ring back.

I must have said that St. Anthony prayer 100 times yesterday, and I even did a rosary in my office. So glad it worked out!
 
Today, go look for a ring guard or have it sized down so it does not fall off.

That is the weird thing. It isn’t too big at all.

I think it must have gotten caught on something if that is possible. I wear a size 4.25 ring, and this is actually a size 4.1.

So weird.

I’m just glad I have it.

Since your ring was too snug to fall off, and you hadn’t even been outside, did you consider that maybe the ring was “delivered” to you right there where you would be sure to find it? Sounds about right to me!

Be sure to offer as many “thank you” prayers as you did “please” prayers! 😉

I just have to tell y’all this.

My house is a mess, and my desk is messily piled with books and papers and stuff. For two days we’ve been looking for the family checkbook. There’s no emergency, but it’s irritating!

Yesterday, I was reading this thread, and told my DH that we should ask St. Anthony’s help. I talk with gestures. He said, “Maybe we should,” and I put my left hand down on the desk. Whaddaya know - my pinky was on the corner of the checkbook, which was peeking out from one of the piles!
