To whom do I report a miracle?

Hello to all,

I’m hoping some of the sharp Catholic minds here can help a poor revert in need. I (the revert) am trying to locate some information, but I’m not the best at searching the internet for anything other than easy-to-find stuff.

It’s my understanding that the Vatican has been receiving reports, stories etc. about events (miracles) that may be attributed to Pope John Paul II. I presume such stories are sent to a Vatican office that is responsible for addressing the issue of sainthood for the late pope.

I am very much interested in sending such information to that office–or committee, commission or council–but I don’t know the name or the address.

I have an address for Pope Benedict, but I’m not confident that information sent to it is going to find its way to the proper office. That address is easy to find on the internet, so it’s probably flooded with prayer requests and greetings from well-wishers etc.

I’d greatly appreciate any help in finding this information. In return, I can offer Hail Marys, Our Fathers, lit candles…….you name it!

Hi David… having not had this situation (no miracle to report :crying: ), my response is just an educated guess. Why not start with your parish priest or your Bishop. They could direct you very well and I’m sure they’d be very happy to know about this and be party to everything that might come.

Maybe someone else knows a better answer, but as in all things Catholic, the heirarchical approach is usually best.

There may be, out there, some organization or group who is in charge of the cause of JPII
