Today is our 9th wedding anniversary.

I leave for work about an hour before she gets up.

I left her a bouquet of red and white roses with baby’s breath and eucalypts in a tall glass vase on the sink in her bathroom with a card and this figurine.

(We are working towards adopting a 2 year old boy)

Before we were married it was she that presented Christ to me. And when I shot back to her with venom and hostile anti-Christian sentiments, she responded only with love the advice to pray about all things.

Married life has presented the most difficult challenges to my life and has also brought me the most joy and grace. I know lots of people say stuff like this but, my wife truly completes me.

Her focus in walking out her Christianity is relational, where mine is more academic and polemic. She is concerned for the dignity of the other, where I am concerned with doing and being right. She has helped shape my views for the better.

Happy Anniversary to you and your wife! 🙂
You sound extremely happy and blessed… congratulations!

Many more, and may you soon be celebrating a certain boy’s birthday and adoption day.

Congratulations! And may that little boy be yours real soon! 🙂 He will be coming into a truly lovely family, from the sounds of it!
