Today is the feast day of St. Sharbel Makhlouf!

Once a month, I have a S.F.O meeting at Our Lady’s Marionite Catholic church,ourladysmaronite.org/, and the picture of the saint is the most noticable one.
He followed a strict fast and was very devoted to the Blessed Sacrament…
He died in the late afternoon on Christmas Eve. Christians and non-Christians soon made his tomb a place of pilgrimage and of cures. Pope Paul VI beatified him in 1965 and canonized him in 1977.

I should ask him to intercede for me on devotion to the Blessed Sacrament.

St. Sharbel pray for us.

If I recall correctly, at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, even the Mexicans have a special devotion to St. Sharbel. Anyone know of this?

To see more information about the Austin, Texas presentation of Saint Sharbel - His Life and His Miracles, go to Saint Sharbel USA on Facebook or Our Ladys’ Maronite Church’s website. There are two presentations - English and Spanish. If you live in the Austin area, this is an event you don’t want to miss.

Saint Sharbel is one of the incorruptables, don’t know much more becuase I lost the book long ago and need another copy.
