Dear Saint Jude and Saint Simon the Zealot,
I’m so happy you got to know Christ on Earth. You were sinners, just like me, and ran away from Jesus when Passion time came, but you came back and were forgiven. Then you both displayed the ultimate in courage by becoming martyrs! Oh give us the courage.

St. Jude, everyone prays to you because you are the Patron Saint of Hopeless Causes. I’m sorry I gave away your statue, but the lady I gave it to had a sick husband who had lost his job and the whole family was struggling. She really needs you. Please help her! Her husband tore out his back.

St. Simon, you had zeal for the Lord! Help us to have zeal and learn to evangelize better. Help us to pull those who hesistate on the threshold of taking Jesus into their lives, and gently draw them in. You did it, and you died for it.

Thank you for this thread and I didn’t know too that St. Simon was a zealot.

St. Jude thank you for your intercession. I am glad that we have a statue of you so that I see you when I come to visit. I’m sorry that someone I know always throws away your novenas because they feel that these types of chain novenas are superstitious and wrong to leave by your statue. My response was that if it’s not harming us then why get rid of someone’s or people’s work to print them and for others to pick them up??

I am grateful for everything that you have interceded for in my life.

And St. Simon, thank you also for your intercession. I will be learning more about you as well.

Lord, thank you for giving us these 2 wonderful saints as we celebrate them today on their feast day. 🙂
