I would agree that Judas fell into despair. He couldn’t conceive of the plan (the Jews had) that he (Judas) put in motion until it was too late.

Did Judas believe in God’s Forgiveness? I have a feeling that Judas went through emotions similar to what I sometimes have - I have sinned so greviously, that there is no way in hell (pardon the pun) that Christ would forgive me. We all seem to believe that our sins are somehow worse than every one else’s.

LOL many Catholics wouldn’t agree with your concept of sin.

Altough I can’t know God’s mind, I think the purpose of the Judas story is that he despaired and failed to ask forgiveness. That was his unrepentent sin, and he was doomed to Hell. (It would be better for him if he had never been born).

ya but i firs became born again christian perhaps it was jesus way of suggesting he would be forgiven for the stars have signs that one day being born again christian would be seen as good remember jesus fights with the sword of truth perhaps in those days the star of david that the 3 kings followed

JESUS CHRIST is MERCIFUL to all who call upon HIM. That being said, Let us see in the scripture when the LORD did punish the wicked. Just a couple of examples. 1. The debtor who begged for MERCY before the great KING and received MERCY, but then went out to punish another who owed him. We pray FATHER forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. 2. The Wicked Thief, who being in the dark, mocked the LORD in unbelief. Thus it is said Whoever believes in JESUS CHRIST is not judged, but whoever does not believe is judged already. 3. The couple who stole from the Apostles and returned and lied to the Apostles, after having received of the Gift of the HOLY SPIRIT. They fell dead where they stood in their sin. 4. Onan went into his brother’s wife and spilled his seed. Again the man fell dead where he stood. 5. The Apostles were sent out to the towns and told that whoever would accept them, let their peace rest on that household. But whoever rejected them, it would be a woe unto that town.

it should be added that believing in Christ means believing in and DOING all that he said…

1. it doesn’t sy in that psg that they went to Hell… Again, they could have asked for forgiveness at the last minute , even as their souls were leaving their bodies… and God would have forgiven them… could be God did this (stuck them dead) to show the people something…
2. Onan spilling his seed: this is the sin of masturbation AND contraception… and disobedience… If we all got zapped for disobedience, the world would become suddenly empty… and also, again, never says he went to Hell… the unforgivable sin is to not ASK for forgiveness… to not be SORRY… (and not be willing to do the work necessary to become purified)…

i believe the theif next to him on the cross was forgien and allowed in heaven. judge and you will be judged with equal measurement.

jesus had no sorrow in my eyes just didnt understand why have thou forsaken me not judus. jesus believed his time was short why his time was short is obvious because of sin. perhaps it was his plan all along an ordeal like pastors conflicting pain on them selves to get closer to god. i suspect though the question might be could jesus if he wanted to have an old age change the world as we know it.

i believe jesus saw much pain in things he new what his father wanted him to achieve nothing more nothing less and that was the ordeal of sin. on judgement day the theif may prepare sin again once that holy box runs low.
