Isn’t this just a beautiful reading from Isiah?

Thus says the LORD: Just as from the heavens the rain and snow come down And do not return there till they have watered the earth,
making it fertile and fruitful,Giving seed to the one who sows and bread to the one who eats, So shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; It shall not return to me void, but shall do my will, achieving the end for which I sent it.

Wow is really amazing to me is the one little part of it I highlighted—it is amazing to think this is exactly what happens in weather/nature; And this was thousand of years before we had scientists getting down to the nults and bolts of it.

Huh… VERY good point. Thank you for bringing this up. Basically more than a thousand years before molecular science was discovered, the Bible was already referencing the evaporation and condensation water cycle. That’s the beauty of the scriptures… they’re filled with nice little gems like this one for those of us who are catholic and have degrees in scientific fields 🙂
