Sorry… i am absent minded these days… :whacky: :banghead: :hmmm: and forgot to bring the Missal to the library…

Is there someone else out there who has the Missal and wouldnt’ mind posting today’s readings??

I went to Mass this a.m and they were powerful, but just don’t remember them word for word…

On a sabbath Jesus went to dine
at the home of one of the leading Pharisees,
and the people there were observing him carefully.
In front of him there was a man suffering from dropsy.
Jesus spoke to the scholars of the law and Pharisees in reply, asking,
“Is it lawful to cure on the sabbath or not?”
But they kept silent; so he took the man and,
after he had healed him, dismissed him.
Then he said to them
“Who among you, if your son or ox falls into a cistern,
would not immediately pull him out on the sabbath day?”
But they were unable to answer his question.

I think the three year lectionary we use is basically the same as the Catholic Church. Of course, it may vary at times, such as this past week when Lutherans commemorate the Reformation, we’ll use Romans for our Epistle reading, which is related to our doctrine of Justification.

I read somewhere, as you did, that some of the more liturgical churches and the Catholic Church worked together to develop a lectionary we could all use, but my memory might be wrong.
