Today, 12th August Gospel reading in Catholic Church.

Gospel Mt 19:3-12
Some Pharisees approached Jesus, and tested him, saying,
“Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause whatever?”
He said in reply, “Have you not read that from the beginning
the Creator made them male and female and said,
For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother
and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?
So they are no longer two, but one flesh.
Therefore, what God has joined together, man must not separate.”
They said to him, “Then why did Moses command
that the man give the woman a bill of divorce and dismiss her?”
He said to them, “Because of the hardness of your hearts
Moses allowed you to divorce your wives,
but from the beginning it was not so.
I say to you, whoever divorces his wife
(unless the marriage is unlawful)
and marries another commits adultery.”
His disciples said to him,
“If that is the case of a man with his wife,
it is better not to marry.”
He answered, “Not all can accept this word,
but only those to whom that is granted.
Some are incapable of marriage because they were born so;
some, because they were made so by others;
some, because they have renounced marriage
for the sake of the Kingdom of heaven.
Whoever can accept this ought to accept it.”

Could someone explain what does the above verses in colour mean?

God Bless

Well St Paul and Jesus renounced it for the sake of the Kingdom. So do Roman Catholic Priests. You have heard that the Priesthood was a calling, they got this call from God and that is why they desire to do Gods work more then they desire to have a family etc. But this grace came from God to do it.

Some people are incapable of marriage, I believe that this is personally people that are gay, or have had great trama maybe in thier life, or whatever it may be, but the desire for the opposite sex is just not there.

I guess to look at it in another way, we all have crosses to carry for God. And if you are gay you are different from your brother or sister who have what we call normal desires from the opposite sex. So for them they live their lives without the sex I guess.🤷

I don’t know if this has to do with being gay or orientation. People with same sex attraction can get married, have children and have perfectly happy lives.
Code:
 These verses, taken in context with the entire passage, seem to have to do with commitment. Jesus is talking about marriage, and divorce. He says people should not get divorced..AT ALL. This is not what people were used to.
 After hearing this, the people say: "If this is the case [that a man should not divorce his wife] it's better not to get married at all!" Then Jesus explains: Some people are incapable of this life-long commitment from birth, some are made so by others. Some voluntarily forgo it for the kingdom of heaven. It's a hard teaching, but those that can accept it should do so.
That’s how I read it anyways! I think it makes much more sense that way!
