Tolerance vs. indifference

Can anyone help me to clarify the difference between tolerance and indifference? Does tolerating something mean that you acknowledge it as something wrong and indifference is akin to apathy? I ask because the line between the two is quite blurry at times.
 
Tolerance is when you accept something as it is. Indifference is when you don’t care for what something is. Understanding is when you treat something with due respect.

it is intolerant to say anythingg bad about BHO. you are a racist bigot if you do.

it is indifference when you say that you don’t care that you are seen as a racist bigot… :rolleyes:
