Many Eastern Catholics are celebrating Christmas Eve right now. Instead of the secular Santa, St. Nicholas is one of the stars.

Yay!!! The Season Isn"t Over Yet! Happy Epiphany Everyone (or Merry Christmas)!!!:d

Merry Christmas everyone!

A friend once sent me a Christmas card that stated “live Christmas every day!” I always keep my Christmas tree up until well into February.

Question: I know that everybody knows that “Santa Claus” is based on the real character of St. Nicholas. Even the name is actually a linguistic corruption of “St. Nicholas.” When did “Santa Claus” become secular? And is it better to distinguish Santa Claus from St. Nicholas, or is it better to promote the fact that they are actually identical?

Blessings,
Marduk
