I collect Rosaries. Currently, there are 25 in my collection. I stay at 25…

The key point here is that you set a limit for yourself and you are not hoarding. Like many of the other posters have stated, they give away many of their rosaries.
I personally don’t have that many, but then again I don’t have that many possessions.
This may seem off the topic, but at the moment I am thinking about my mother’s doll collection. Each of her dolls was unique. Most were a gift from different parts of the world, often given to her by my brothers as they traveled due to military service. Each time she received a doll, I would count every doll in her collection.
People do have collections of different types, whether it be dolls, coins, stamps, or bottle caps. There is nothing inherently right or wrong about having a collection of beautiful rosaries. It’s great to be surrounded by beauty and to use beautiful objects in daily life.

I never even considered that having many rosaries could be frowned upon. I make jewelry, and when I converted from Evangelical to Catholic several years ago, I began to make rosaries for myself and my family and friends. Making the rosaries is very meditative, whether I use stone or gems (i.e. Amethyst, garnet, etc.) and silver findings or olive wood beads with rough hemp rope. I have rosaries stashed everywhere and when I see one it reminds me to pray, to remember the blessing of my Catholic faith, and the mysteries of Christ. I often wear my rosaries and this grounds me and reminds me to “pray without ceasing”. Perhaps others don’t need as many reminders or anchors but I am weak and constantly need the grace of God; anything that helps me in these endeavors is welcome help. All things in moderation, I’ve always believed. I also believe that what is a stumbling block for one may not effect another at all; we need to have grace for those experiencing stumbling blocks and if we are that person, we need to check ourselves for judgement of others, for our stumbling block may not be something that God has convicted another as an issue.

I have a number of rosaries but the one I carry with me at all times was sent to me from my granddaughter when she was in Paris studying – I couldn’t get through the day without my rosary – I LOVE it!!!
