Annunciata:
Anything on EWTN:
Fr. Mitch Pacwa
Journey Home
Fr. Groeshel
Archbishop Sheen
Fr. Corapi
I’ll second that!😃

I don’t have time for TV, very few things worth watching. I am very picky how I spend my free time, what little I have. Do not make room in my life for junk reading, junk TV or junk movies. If I want to waste time I can always do it here on the forums. Besides TV is monopolized by Tank MacNamara out there, who usually has Nascar on one TV, Yankees on the computer, and a ballgame of some type on the other TV, sometimes another function on the radio.

if I do watch it is usually reruns - Touched by an Angel, Promised land, or EWTN now that we finally get it on satellite, but I don’t like all of it - like Fr. Corapi and Fr Groeschel, or I watch good old movies (maybe one movie a year since 1980 has been worth watching).

Antique Roadshow, McLaughlin Group, The News, Red Green, Mr Rogers Neighborhood (do they do reruns of that?)

Last night we were watching SNL and I was totally grossed out and mad about one of the “pieces”. That show has really gone downhill. Now I feel the need to stay up late on Sat night just to make sure the kids AREN’T watching it.

We don’t have cable so don’t have EWTN. TV is really not a good thing for the most part if you ask me. Wasn’t there a saint that had visions about slime and rot coming out of the TV set? I know Frank Zappa did. Surely he didn’t corner the market on that one.

I don’t like many modern TV shows, I tend to watch the older shows. My favs are:
  1. Anything on EWTN
  2. Little House on the Prairie
  3. The Waltons
  4. Andy Griffith
  5. The Weather Channel–this one could be considered a favorite because I have it on all the time.

  1. Amaxing Race-loved this past season!!
  2. American Idol
    3.Yes, Dear
    4.O’Reilly, Hannity & Colmes
  3. Dr. Phil
Only on DVR, with 2 small children hardly have time to watch TV!!

  1. MAS*H
  2. O’Reilly Factor
  3. Law & Order
  4. Everybody Loves Raymond
  5. Anything on HGTV

Well, the only show I cannot miss is Amazing Race. I like what’s on the Discovery Health station a lot…makeovers & surgery shows…I think they are so fascinating. Kim Possible. (yeah, I’m 22…so? 😃 ) Comedy Central Presents. (sometimes). And the oldies but goodies, you know, MASH, Full House, Cosby show.

Someone said Joan of Arcadia got cancelled? When did that happen? I used to like to catch that once in a while.

Hmm…

in no particular order…
  1. Life on the Rock (EWTN)
  2. G. K. Chesterton series: The Apostle of Common Sense (EWTN)
  3. The Residents (TLC)
  4. Trading Spaces (I just love Faber the carpenter!!😉 )
  5. most anything on EWTN

Top 5 favorites:
  1. The Contender
  2. Survivor
  3. King of Queens
  4. Everybody Loves Raymond
  5. Forensic Files
Least favorite shows that I am forced to watch due to having a 1.5 year old:
  1. the doodlebops
  2. outside the box
I dont know what it is but those two shows make my skin crawl…its sooo painful to watch! But my boy loves em so i watch em! 😃

  1. Monk
  2. Monk
  3. Monk
  4. Monk
  5. Good Eats (on Food Network)
I would have voted for Monk 5 times, but that seemed like overkill. A most excellent show, well written and well acted.

We don’t watch any primetime TV on any of the “major” networks. Mostly cooking shows and old movies on TCM.

I was just wondering what kind of TV people are watching?..

What are your top 5?

Mine are…
  1. Alias
  2. CSI (Amazing season finale)
  3. Lost
  4. Nip/Tuck
  5. Veronica Mars
I used to like watching Tru Calling, and Point Pleasant but were unfortunately cancelled.
Nip/Tuck?

The show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, has declared that it is his goal in life to remove every barrier to depiction of explicit sex on over-the-air TV. He was quoted earlier this year saying, “It’s tough to get that sexual point of view across on television. Hopefully I have made it possible for somebody on broadcast television to do a rear-entry scene in three years. Maybe that will be my legacy.”

Every Loves Raymond, Judging Amy, and Joan of Arcadia are all ending this season. The only thing left for me is the West Wing, but I think it will be too inventive next season. There weren’t five tv shows I watched. Now I don’t know if there will even be one…oh well, it’s bad for the brain any way.

  1. Deadliest Catch
  2. Lost
  3. NCIS
  4. Mythbusters
and a three way tie for fifth place…
  1. Battlestar Galactica/Stargate Atlantis/Stargate

I like all of the EWTN programming.

Other shows I like in no particular order (and not all of these are still on the air):

Leave it to Beaver
I Love Lucy
The Honeymooners
The Mary Tyler Moore Show
Little House on the Prairie
Arthur
Maya the Bee

For the people who watch Alias and Lost, what did you think of the finale’s. I thought Lost was kind of a letdown, it didn’t explain anything.

But Alias was awesome, the last 2 minutes were great. Alias is known for the great cliffhangers.

I think it’s definitely not for everyone, but it has some of the best storylines and drama I have ever seen in a tv show, and is amazingly acted. It’s a little twisted but it is only fiction. And as long as I think of it as only fiction and not to re-enact anything or try and learn any life lessons from this then what’s the harm? There’s more to it then sex.

I am loyal to two things:

Mystery Science Theater 3000

and

The X-Files (this is mostly a love-hate relationship.)

I don’t own or watch TV, those are my private collection. This necessitates a large computer monitor…

My 5 Favorite shows are :

1. House
2. Quantum Leap

*3. As Time Goes By *(BBC Show-check local PBS listings)
*4. My Hero *(Also a BBC show-it’s about an alien super-hero and his wife and kids-very, very funny)
5. Star Trek: The Next Generation

Scout :tiphat:

My favorite shows are:
24
American Idol
Sopranos (I know,:tsktsk: )
Cooking With Paula
Most shows on EWTN(The World Over, Fr. Groeschel, Fr. Corapi)
I can’t wait for Football season:yup:
