Topical bible study on "After Acts What?"

Our parish, St. Vincent de Paul in Denver, CO, has had a Bible study running for 6 years. We’ve used the catholicexchange material and Steve Ray and Jeff Cavins’ material over the course of that time.

Last spring we completed a study of Acts. My husband and I (converts from a combined Anglicanism and Evangelical Protestantism) along with the wife of our Deacon (also a convert from Protestantism) have been leading/facilitating the study.

We’d like to depart from our usual format of studying a book of the Bible and do a follow-up on the book of Acts with a topical study on “After Acts What?” My preference would be to find videos that would serve as aids to the group study. I think the Catechism provides good scriptural references for the various topics (authority, sacraments, Church structure, liturgy, Christology, etc.) but we kind of feel like we’re starting from scratch.

Is anyone here or the moderator aware of any materials that would be available to us for use in such a topical study especially videos?

Our Diocese has a Video Library that they loan out to the parishes. They cover Sacraments and other topics. As far as a source I would suggest you contact your diocese to see if they have something similar. I also think, but am not positive, that Ignatius Press has the type of videos you are inquiring about. They may not be the only publisher handling Catholic Video Materials. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve checked out a bunch of videos from the Vehr Library and have found a few possibilities. We have a seminary here too and I suppose I should talk to some of the faculty and see if they know of any academic kinds of resources that the library wouldn’t know about. Thanks for the nudge.
