I’ve been reading the Pentateuch and I’m currently about to finish the Book Of Numbers. I was curious if the Mosaic Law was a gentler law system compared to systems like Hammurabi’s Code. From what I understand; the Law wasn’t too terrible for the times. The only stoning offenses were adultery, cursing one’s parents and blasphemy; if I understand it right.
