Hi!
I read the treatise on marian devotion by Louis G. de Montfort over the past May and I would like to consecrate myself to Jesus through Mary.
Since I am getting married on a Marian day (August 22, Queenship of Mary) I though the preparation could be a beautiful way to live my last month before the wedding day and that it would be great to be able to consacrate myself totally to Jesus through Mary on the same day of my wedding, since I want to serve God through marriage. It may be nice, every year to repeat the consecration before the wedding anniversary and be reminded on my particular vocation through which I serve God.
Do you think this is a good idea or can be rather putting too much together? Also, is it needed to have a spiritual director approval to undergo the consecration or can it be a completely individual and private initiative (I don’t have a spiritual director at the moment)?
Thanks for your advices!
