Tough "morality passages" in the OT

Any good links to good explanations of tough passages on morality issues in the OT? Like Yahweh being wrathful, harsh laws in Leviticus etc, you know…

Mostly that if they are ‘tough’ it is due to our human understanding.

God is no less ‘wrathful’ in the NT either. He offers Mercy to those who come to Him, Eternal Damnation to those who don’t ( read Mt 25)

Are far as the ‘harsh’ laws in Leviticus, the moral precepts remain unchanged. Only the Ceremonial Law ( the law of what is ‘unclean’ or not has changed.) Even in Leviticus, it was not sinful for a woman to give birth, it was a joyous occasion that all rejoiced over, but it was ceremonially ‘unclean’.
 
I’d suggest getting some really solid bible study materials and commentaries. Navarre comes to mind. Also, Scott Hahn has several bible study series as do other Catholic authors.
 
look for a book called the problem of war in the OT. craige puts things ot and nt in perspective.

Basically, when you compare mankind to God’s holiness, we all deserve God’s wrath. The surprise is, that God in his mercy, inspite of his holiness, justice, etc attributes, has made a way for us all to heaven through Jesus Christ.
 
Supposedly Paul Copan’s book is God a Moral Monster is a good place to start. Also read Wisdom ch 9 in the Bible.
