I’m very fortunate to work in a place that has a Bible study once a week.
Today we talked about scriptures that are tough to understand today. Perhaps “controversial” is a better word. The gist was that the whole Bible is the inspire Word of God and you have to accept the whole thing; not just cherry pick, ala the Jeffersonian Bible.
With that said, he wanted to broach this:
[BIBLEDRB]1 Tim 2:9-15[/BIBLEDRB]

I do understand that Paul wrote this to address a specific incident, at a specific church, at a specific time. Naturally, women have a problem with this statement, and to be honest, I’m not sure how to interpret this.
I mean I do know that a man is the leader of the household, and that each gender serves an important role for God and His Church.
Anybody out there wiser and more knowledgable than I care to address this?
Peace be with you, and God bless.
