Tradional Latin Mass Confirmation in California

His Excellency Bishop Richard Garcia, Bishop of the Diocese of Monterey, CA, will confer the Sacrament of Confirmation for the Monterey Bay Area Traditional Latin Mass community on November 6th., at 6:30 p.m. at Mission San Juan Bautista.The Mass will be a Sung High Mass, with 17 members of our community receiving Confirmation. A reception will follow in the Mission Teaching Center, with His Excellency in attendance. Pass the word - All are invited and encouraged to attend~

That sounds more correct than Confirmation celebrated in the context of a Mass. In the Extraordinary Form Confirmation is not celebrated at a Mass. That is the way it was and how I bishop does it now.

We met him at Mission Carmel carmelmission.org/ after mass (celebrating 25th anniversary of Blessed John Paul II’s visit and dedication of his chapel) while on vacation in September. He is a wonderful man. I even kissed his ring.

My Bishop does a annual or semi-annual confirmation for a Traditionalist school in the Diocese. I was amazed that he could learn how to with so much on his plate!
