I recently got the Diurnale Romanum breviary and I am confused about some things.
  1. For Feasts of the Third Class do I have to use the psalms from the weekday or do I use what the common (ex. Common of Martyrs outside Paschaltide) tells me to do which is “Psalms of Sunday in the first place”. The guides I look at confuse me a little.
  2. In the 1962 rubrics, do I have to do a commemoration of a Second Class Feast (ex. St. Anne this Saturday) or just omit the collect all together and just do the one for Sunday?

The weekday.

This Saturday will be Vespers of St. Anne, comm. of the Sunday

Thanks.
I forgot to also ask, for third class feasts do I have to use the antiphons for the weekday before and after each psalm or the antiphons from the common of the saints with psalms from the weekday?

Just to clarify, I know we have another diurnale question thread going but my questions just need simple straightforward answers. Also, I don’t want to interfere with that other person’s thread.

I basically did a transition from Christian Prayer to the 1965 Divine Office then for a short time a little bit of the Angelus Press Divine Office and finally to the all Latin EF Diurnale Romanum. So, I have had some confusion with rubrics.

The antiphons are also from the weekday.

Do you have the General Rubrics and a Table of Occurence and Concurrence in your diurnale? It would be very helpful.
