Can anyone give me resources for a Traditional Calendar with Saints and feast days. I do not wish to have OF combined with it…strictly an EF Calendar. Thanks
 
So its a 1962 calendar?

But seriously, whats the difference? Isn’t a Saint’s feast day a Saint’s feast day?
 
Surprisingly no they are not the same. Feasts have been moved around and certain Saints are not on the same days and some have been removed and others added. What may be the 2nd ordinary day on one calendar can be the 16th on another (not accurate, but so you can get the picture) That’s why I specifically ask for a 1962 Calendar that people may have and enjoy as there are several but I would like to know what traditional Catholics have on the forums if they do…

This is printed in the front of your 1962 Missal, unless it’s been torn out or something. :confused:

Sorry if I wasn’t clear Mark and HCC! I mean a calendar as in what we use to write our appointments on and what not…of course that go along with the calendar of the Church according to the EF

Thank you for the question! I looked up my bday on the old schedule!

I wish that there was a wall calendar which was Roman Catholic, but, was also of an organizer type. Every year I purchase an organizer wall calendar for my folks, who need larger space for their writing, and for viewing. There are few to choose from … from the Met (NYC), some silly family ones, a flowery one maybe, and a plain one which we have now (the museum or at Amazon.com.)

i dont know about online, but if you have a 1962 Roman Missal then it is defiantly in there
 
I bought one from my FSSP parish in January. I will see if they have any contact information on it.

Also, a lot of the Sundays are different. The OF has Ordinary Time instead of the Sundays after Epiphany and the Sundays after Pentecost. They also don’t have Septuagesima, Sexagesima, and Quinquagesima (Hope I have spelled those correctly) Sundays. The Easter season has Sundays after Easter and the Sunday after Ascension, not Sundays of Easter. In the EF the Feast of Christ the King always occurs on the last Sunday of October.
 
Check the website for the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. They have some things for sale and had a desk type calendar available last year. I have also had a medium sized wall calendar each year that is mailed out to people who support the Institute. They do have some things available for sale on their site, so you can check there. I like referring to the old calendar myself and each morning check to see what it has listed for the Saint of that day.
 
I buy one from the FSSP bookstore and Angelus Press every year. Of the two, I like the Angelus Press calendar better.

It has all the Feast Days, Ember Days, Fasts. Very complete.
 
The calendar gives the address and the website should one feel so inclined to make a donation.

I couldn’t find one at their website at the moment.
 
Tan put out a great planner, I’ve been using it for the past two years. I need a new one for next year, but so far they don’t offer it. I hope it’s not being discontinued.

Thank you for the link to a beautiful planner calender. I sometimes wonder if our funeral home’s free Catholic calendar could be designed differently. I can’t exactly imagine telling them how to do things.

I imagine TAN’s planner is a bit more detailed that anything a funeral home could put out. 🙂

The thing that’s so nice about that calendar is it has the traditional, new and historical feast days, and it’s chalk full of information on the saints, patron saints… It’s got a month at a glance page, then weekly pages. All kinds of prayers in the front… It’s a 16 month planner.

I think it was a poster here who first gave me the link to that planner. I just sent a message to TAN inquiring about whether they’ll be a 2011 planner.
