Traditional Catholic schools?

I was wondering if any of you guys here know of traditionalist Catholic private schools for grades K-12 anywhere in the US? I have never heard of any, until I came across one in Oregon a little while ago which looked wonderful, but is unfortunately run by the SSPX. But surely there are some that are not, right? Anywhere in the continental US is fine, I just want to get some schools to look into.

I would prefer to find one that is clearly in Communion with Rome, and possesses regular canonical status. Surely there are some that are, right? Good luck in your search. I will include your intentions in my prayers. I do not believe, though, that we have a Diocese in the country where you will find Traditional Catholic Education outside of the Society of St. Pius X.
 
Dear Dove51,

I am a Catholic School Teacher in a very traditional Catholic Diocese (Lincoln, Nebraska). Is there a specific aspect of traditional Catholic education that appeals to you? Perhaps some other Catholic schools in the U.S. may offer an emphasis in what you’re looking for while not exactly fitting the complete “traditionalist” title. Hope this helps.

There’s a St. Stephen academy in California (FSSP) and St. John Vianney Prep in Kansad (also FSSP).
 
You might be more apt to find a grade school (K-8) that fits your description better, than one with a high school combined, unfortunately.

From what I’ve observed by searching the net, the grade schools that are run by conservative, habit wearing, traditional orders of nuns in like -minded parishes, seem to match what you’re looking for.

Do you mean Ecce Veritas in Portland or the Holy Family Academy/Marian Latin School down in the Brookings/Mt. Angel area? I knew these were independent Catholic schools, but I was not aware that either one was at cross-purposes with the archdiocese whatsoever, let alone the Vatican. Oh, and I think there might be a traditionalist school down around Jacksonville somewhere, too?

I think the suggestion to locate in a traditionalist diocese is a sensible one, too. If you’re moving to find the school, surely you’ll want an archbishop to match.

At any rate, if you look for private schools that teach Latin, that will turn up a number for you to look into, I would think. Good luck.
