Our youngest daughter will probably start school not this fall, but the next. I’m looking for different programs that offer a Traditional approach to Catholicism and the mass and at the same time very helpful to parents, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Academic or CCD programs? At the kinder level most academics should focus on reading, vocal and fine motor skills - I don’t see where “traditional Catholic” would fit in there 🤷

My bad. I’m looking for acedemic programs. That sounds about right, but I believe there is a need to at least introduce them to some of the basics of the Catholic Church.

Two that come to mind:

Seton is 100% Catholic. Everything is very “traditional” but not “traditionalist”.

Our Lady of Victory is both “traditional” and “traditionalist”

olvs.org/

Both programs are good, in my opinion, and it is not uncommon for Catholic homeschooling families that I know to use resources from both (and from other sources as well).

I used Seton when homeschooling my son, and was very happy with the traditional Catholic approach. They used the same religion textbooks that were used in the 1950s and the Baltimore Catechism. I am now giving them to my daughter, as her son will be going to public school for the first time (third grade).

My family used all of these:

Seton
Our Lady of Victory
Our Lady of the Rosary
Most Holy Trinity Academy.

I’ve heard of Mother of Divine Grace being pretty good, too, but I’ve never looked into it.

I see people have recommended Seton and OLV. Mother of Divine Grace is good, as well as Catholic Heritage Curricula. Designing Your Own Classical Curriculum is a good read, and this site should give you some ideas materamabilis.org/ma/. Also the 4Real forum for Catholic homeschoolers is a major resource. 4real.thenetsmith.com/
