:thumbsup:Wasn’t that GREAT!!!

I haven’t heard a homily like that is years, of course I haven’t seen a TLM in years. We just got digital TV & didn’t have access to EWTN.

If it was a Sunday Mass then probably not - but EWTN may well put out a DVD of it or something. Interesting (and good) that it doesn’t appear to have been associated with any special occasion or anything either, but just an ordinary Sunday Mass.

I wish EWTW would place programming like this on youtube to be seen at will…

That’s why God created DVR! Will be watching it over and over, thanks Mother Angelica!

CatholicTV catholictv.com/Home.aspx and of course youtube and others now stream Catholic programming on demand. I’ve watched ABp. Tim Dolan’s Mass 3-4 times.

I think EWTN is in a fairly tough place. They used to make $$$ by selling recordings of some of their shows. I can see why they would not want to place them on youtube or their own video-on-demand system…

If you’re talking about the Missa Cantata for Good Shepherd Sunday, then I was there!!! 😃 In fact, I watched it when I got home and they got a close-up of me receiving Holy Communion.

Let me tell you, I always knew that the Shrine was there, but I haven’t always been Catholic. I was surprised when I found out that it was only an hour from my parents house. (never been there) So I convinced the girlfriend to meet me at the house at 5:30 a.m. to go. I found out about it last Friday.

That place is beautiful. More so because it’s out in the country in the “church belt”. We were very impressed. You just don’t see that much where we are from.

The nuns singing was amazing. They really need to do that more often. The pews were pretty much full. Kiddies were well behaved. (probably because they were up so early). I didn’t really explore much.

The place is a real gem.

sounds like a neat experience. I’d do anything to see that mass. As a person who has never been to a TLM, I have become fascinated with it. I am glad you had the experience you did!!!

Thanks! I had never been to a sung Mass. There’s a priest who used to be in my old college town that did Low Masses every once in awhile, so I had been to one Low Mass previously. I would encourage you to try one out if possible.

Some people knock it, but EWTN does a great and much needed service to the Church.

You lucky dog, you! I’m soooooooooooo jealise:D

It was amazing!

You know, I wasn’t even paying much attention to the television but I could tell that there was this awesome sense of the ancient in this Mass. Also, this Mass seemed more reverent to me than a Novus Ordo Mass. But, let’s not get in to a debate of TLM versus NOM.

One thing did confuse me though. Not all of the women had their heads covered. Weren’t they supposed to have their heads covered? 🤷
