Hi All,

This year I am considering attending the Vigil TLM and am wondering how long does it last? I am traveling on my own, across town about a 30min drive and am conscious of my safety at that time of night. The Mass is scheduled to begin at 9:30pm. My concern is greatest about the late hour after Mass finishes and I have to drive home.

(In the past I’ve attended Easter Mass during the daytime.)

Thank you for your assistance.

God bless.

If memory serves, the last time I attended (two years ago) the Vigil lasted about 3½ hours. One adult was baptized. Without that, the liturgy would probably have been shortened by 15-20 minutes. Parish run by the ICRSS.

You’re welcome. Keep in mind that YMMV.

Is this a diocesan TLM, or is it run by an institute like the FSSP or the ICRSS?
