I live in South Carolina a state with a Catholic population of maybe 4%. I would love to find a TLM some where around here that is in accordance with Vatican rules etc. I do not want to go to a schismatic one.

Our Lady, Star of the Sea in North Myrtle Beach has one on occasion (at this point about once a month). I’ve been privileged to serve there twice–at All Souls’ Day, where the choir did Faure’s Requiem as the Mass setting, and then again at Immaculate Conception. From what I gather the Parish administrator (he’s not the full pastor) is trying to say the TLM about once a month. Excellent priest, quite young, and it’s always a privilege to serve for him.

Prince of Peace in Taylors SC(Upstate) Has a wonderful TLM. The Priest there is one of the most orthodox priest around here that I know of. The Parish is beautiful as well. Here’s the link: www.princeofpeacesc.org/

I can’t tell you where a Latin Mass might be held in your area, but I CAN tell you…don’t lose hope. Just yesterday I learned that there will be a TLM. held EVERY Sunday only 3-4 miles from my home. In the past, we had to make a 120 mi. round trip to attend one. New parishes are being added to the list of TLM. Churches every day. Pope Benedict is not going to let this one go. I found this on a TLM. site yesterday:
"According to the Associated Press, the Vatican has begun drafting a document to elaborate on Pope Benedict XVI’s recent liberalization of the old Latin Mass because some bishops are either ignoring his move or misinterpreting it, Vatican officials said.
The Vatican’s No. 2, Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, said in comments published today that the Vatican would be issuing an “instruction” on how to put the pope’s document into practice, since there had been what he called some “uneven” reactions to it since it went into effect last year./
