I was talking with some Protestant and atheist friends, and they gave me a question: If history means we’ll lose the fight in the United States to preserve traditional marriage, what happens then? What do we do? Do we stick to the cause, even if we’ll get steamrolled again and again by the secularists? Or do we find a modus vivendi?

We stick to the truth. Should we give up on pro-life just because abortion is legalized everywhere? We should stand up for the truth as the multitude of martyrs stood up for the faith.

Fight for truth. In some countries the Nazis “won” in that they took over and started sending Jews and other groups to concentration camps. But people stood up for what is right and things got better. In the end, only God matters. Stand up for truth and freedom.

Fight back! Who said the Church Militant has to “take it?” Dish it out! I pray I can effectively attend the gay pride march and pass out flyers that state, “Give me back my culture! The only gay marriage in history was that of Nero marrying the servant boy that looked like the wife he kicked to death. MY rainbow.” Pray for me, OK? I need to speak the truth in (tough) love. Christ will return for His Bride, the Church. The sacrament of marriage in Genesis 2 and in the Apocalypse shows this is the pre-eminent heavenly relationship. What point is there in sanctioning same-gender marriage? How hard is that? The real test is male and female bonding, the ultimate in societal integration.

Isn’t the real problem Catholics who suffer from “learned helplessness?” Get to crack-a-lackin’. Lord, fit us for battle. Bring us to deeply pray to unite with Your will; and richly work miracles of healing and conversion, all for your honor and glory. Keep us safe. AMEN

The only thing that comes to my mind is as all said “Fight for the Truth”
As it is also said “Truth always wins”… so be it.

If a popular vote were to proclaim 2+2 = 5, the Truth would not change.

Sometimes the battle for Truth to prevail takes considerable effort.

We are called to speak God’s Truth in the Spirit of Love.

True Love is not lowering standards but rather working to find ways to help ourselves and others to meet the standards.

Stick to the sound doctrine.

We will not only be steamrolled over but also many other forms of torture and open discrimination.

There will come a time (and for some Catholics in the world the time is already here) when you will be handed over to the authorities and be put to death because of the sound doctrine of Jesus Christ and they will feel that they are performing a civil duty.
